Raja Najabat announced protests in Birmingham, London and European Capitals

Islamabad: Jammu and Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), and Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) jointly organized a a virtual international parliamentary conference on Kashmir. President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Masood Khan, several British and Pakistani parliamentarians, and Kashmiri leaders addressed the conference. Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman JKSDMI moderated the event.

Chainman JKSDMI in his inaugural address said the long-standing Kashmir dispute could not be resolved without granting the Kashmiris their right to self-determination as promised in several United Nations resolutions.

Raja Najabat Hussain announced that JKSDMI will organize the protests in Birmingham, London, Islamabad, Muzzaffarabad and Mirpur as well as in all the European Capitals with other Kashmiri organizations. 

He said on August 5 day last year India had illegally annexed the disputed territory by abolishing the specific articles of its constitution which gave special status to the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and since that day the Kashmiris had been under the Indian military siege.

Sardar Masood Khan, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir has said  Indian rulers through their warmongering, ceasefire violations, and threats to attack Azad Kashmir and Pakistan, are pushing the region to the brink of war. He said India’s illegal action of August 5, 2019, AJK President said “this past year, the people of the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, have suffered most grievously. On August 5th last year, 900,000 Indian occupation forces invaded Kashmir and re-occupied it.

The Indian occupation army, he said, has killed hundreds of young men, incarcerated thousands of boys and children and forcibly disappeared Kashmiris. All pro-freedom leaders are under Illegal detention. Concentration camps have been set up in the IOJK and India to force political activists to discard their quest for liberty. The occupied territory’s economy has been ruined.

High Commissioner for Pakistan in UK Mohammed Nafees Zakria highlighted the ongoing human rights abuses being committed by Indian occupation forces and called for delivery of justice to the Kashmiri victims. He laid emphasis on bringing the perpetrators of crimes against humanity to account, saying: “There is sufficient evidence available in the form of documented accounts of human rights abuses prepared by the United Nations, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, IPTK (Institut Penyelidikan Tingkahlaku Kesihatan), Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP), Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS) and international media to hold India accountable.”
