Pak envoy presents diplomatic credentials to President Trump

Ambassador to the United States (US) Aizaz Chaudhry on Monday  presented his credentials to US President Donald Trump at the White House.

Presenting his credentials to the US president, Chaudhry conveyed best wishes and commitment of Islamabad and the people of Pakistan for strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.

Chaudhry, who was named Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America mid-February, had taken up his new responsibilities in Washington last month.

Aizaz Chaudhry’s career as a foreign service officer spans 36 years of multilateral and bilateral experience. He also authored a book ‘Pakistan Mirrored to Dutch Eyes’ published by Sangemeel Publications. .

Aizaz Chaudhry had been serving as Pakistan’s foreign secretary since December 2013 and prior to this, he served as the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry.

Chaudhry’s other overseas assignments include Pakistan’s deputy permanent representative to the UN in New York and a stint as ambassador to the Neither land.
