Justice Javid Iqbal(R) takes charge as NAB Chief

ISLAMABAD: Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday assumed the charge as new Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after the formal notification from Presidency on Oct, 8.

Justice Iqbal on arriving at NAB Headquarters met with senior officials including NAB’s director general operations and members of the prosecution wing and asked them for the details of all outstanding cases, references and records.

Giving the officials their first task, the new NAB chief asked for the details of all outstanding cases, references and records.

While talking to media persons, Justice Iqbal said that he would quite his previous assignment as the head of the missing persons commission after submitting the report that is almost about to complete soon.

“I have worked hard on the report and it will be submitted soon,” he said.
