Al-Umar chief pays rich tributes to Afzal Guru, Maqbool Bhat

Srinagar: Al-Umar Mujahideen chief commander Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar Paid rich tributes to Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on their anniversaries being observed on February 9 and 11 respectively, in his statement Zargar said both were the icons of our freedom movement and we are obliged to follow their mission.  Al-Umar chief urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to shut down their business to show solidarity with their heroes.

Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar further added that the lasting solution of Kashmir issue was possible only under the UN resolutions. He said the UN resolutions declare Kashmir as a disputed territory and justify Kashmiris freedom struggle. “Till India won’t follow and implement the UN resolutions all the talks are futile. We will continue our fight for freedom till Indian forces are on Kashmir soil. Modi should forget that talks with Pakistan will bore any fruits,” Zargar said.

Mushtaq also held Jagmohan responsible for migration of KPSs from Kashmir. “It was Jagmohan who created wedge between Kashmiri Muslims and KPs. Scores of KPs are still living in Kashmir and they were never threatened and harmed by any organization. And we will always guard them in future. But we won’t allow those who left the Valley in the behest of Jagmohan,” he said.

“We will continue with our armed struggle in Kashmir until the last Indian soldier remains here,” said Zargar. He further said that it was Jagmohan’s ploy to kill Kashmir Muslims, “that’s why he told KPs to leave Kashmir. But we won’t let any outside living Pandits to come back,” Mushtaq said.
