Islamabad: Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Aasiya Andrabi and her close aid Fahmeeda Sofi were booked 20th time on Tuesday under notorious black law Public Safety Act since 1993 and are likely to be shifted to Kotbulwal jail in jammu, the statement reads.
According to statement,General Secretary Nahida Nasreen while condemning the slapping of PSA on Aasiya and Fahmeeda termed it frustration on part of the authorities and threatned dire conciquances if any untoward happed to the ailig leader.
A ccording to the source Deputy Commissioner Srinagar approved the PSA to be slapped on Aasiya and Fahmeeda on Monday evening and the police executed the orders on Tuesday.police station at Rambagh, where the ailing resistance leader , suffering from acute asthama and arthritis has been put on oxygen few days back
Soon after the news spread, the DeM activists staged a massive protest at Press Enclave here and demanded immediate release of their chairperson. The activists termed the slapping of PSA on Aasiya as “ultimate lawlessness.” They were raising pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans.
Meanwhile Hurriyat leadership, Kashmir High Court Bar Association in a statement strongly condemned the detention of Aasiya and Sofi warned authorities “ if any untoward happens to ailing leader, the administration shall have to face consequences saying that their life was in danger at the police station.”
